Samsung Galaxy A50s Available in Nepal
Galaxy A50s is released in the market as a successor of Galaxy A50 in August 2019. The major feature of Galaxy A50s is a triple camera setup at back with a 48MP primary sensor and A 32MP selfie camera in U shaped notch on a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. Galaxy A50s 6/128GB variant is available in Nepal at Rs. 42,190/ Rs. 33,599/- due to a recent price drop of Rs. 9,500/- as an offer for Samsung's 50th Anniversary.
Galaxy A50s has the same FHD+(1080x2340 pixels) super-AMOLED panel of Galaxy A50 with excellent color saturation and color contrast. The display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 403 PPI pixel density. Under the display, there resides an optical fingerprint sensor for added security. Additionally, the top of the display has a U shaped notch to embed a 32MP selfie camera, which can produce decent photos and videos.

The body is made up of plastic but the color and design chosen in the device made it more durable and attractive. At the back of the phone, a primary 48MP sensor with 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor is present and overall, the photo quality and video quality are above average. The images it captured have adequate detail, good color saturation, and contrast but due to lack of OIS, the video capture in 4K is not smooth. Users can capture slow-motion video in Galaxy A0s in 720p resolution either at 240fps or 960fps.
The mid-range Exynos 9611 10nm chipset is coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU for handling daily tasks and better performance but I personally am not satisfied with the result. This device comes in 4/64 GB, 4/128GB and 6/128GB variants and also supports external microSD card for expansion of storage by up to 1TB. Galaxy A50s runs on Android 9.0 Pie on top of which One UI v1.5 skin is used.
Talking about the battery, Samsung has placed a 4000mAh battery inside Galaxy A50s which also supports 15W fast charging. Additionally, the device also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS, and NFC as peripheral connectivity.
Even though the market is filled with lots of mid-range smartphones Galaxy A50s is among the one which has better value for money. The Price of Galaxy A50s in Nepal is set at Rs. 33,599/- for a 6/128GB variant. And with this device, you will have an improved triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor and an excellent display for casual media consumption activity.

Verdict
Being one of the best mid-range smartphone Galaxy A50s packs triple rear camera with 48MP primary sensor, 6.4-inch super-AMOLED panel, 4000mAh battery, at Rs. 33,599/- for 6/128GB variant. And in my view, having a Galaxy A50s will be great if I have lots of accessories for Samsung, if not other smartphones like Redmi K20, Pocophone F1, Oppo A9 2020 will be the best choice as these phones also have better value for money.
