Xiaomi Launches Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite with Company's Offical Presence in Nepal

The Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi makes its official presence in Nepal. Xiaomi announced its official presence in Nepal at an event in Kathmandu, on 23rd September. The company also shared its plans and strategies for the upcoming days. Xiaomi also launches four devices in Nepal. 

Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite are the phones that were announced in a program in Soaltee Hotel. These phones are the mid-range devices which are expected to compete with mid-rangers from various other companies. With the competitive pricing, the phones are set to grab its market share to a whole new level. 

The company officials also stated that the Xiaomi will be aggressively working in the market share and the price will be too fair and competitive. They are also planning to launch the most popular flagship killer, Xiaomi Pocophone F1 in Nepal soon. 

Xiaomi also launched Mi official website for Nepal at mi.com/np. The new website will now showcase all the new smartphones from Xiaomi.

The Mi A1 from last year was one of the major product form Xiaomi. The was hit not only in Nepal but also in the global market. MI A1 was the device to come with stock Android and continuing the trend, the company has introduced the successor MI A2, which was made available a couple of months back internationally. Xiaomi has finally launched MI A2 and Mi A2 Lite in Nepal after a long time of wait. 

Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with an AI engine and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Android one) OS. It has a 5.99-inch 18:9 FHD LCD screen, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. While it comes to the camera, the dual rear camera on the phone (20 MP + 12 MP, f/1.75) takes impressive photos, even in low light conditions. The portrait mode in Mi A2 allows taking beautiful bokeh effects. One of the exciting features in Mi A2 is that it can select one of the two rear lenses in the manual mode. The 20 MP front camera also features Super Pixel technology. Which works with 2.0 micro pixel to create better picture quality in low light conditions. Other features in the camera area AI portrait, AI beautify 4.0 and HDR.

MI A2 Lite

MI A2 Lite comes with a notched display on the Android one phone which looks identical to its elder sibling A2. The phone features a 5.84-inch IPS display with a narrow notch on the top. The similar also comes with Full-HD+ resolution in a 19:9 aspect ratio with 432ppi of pixel density. 

The inexpensive and younger Mi A2 Lite is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor with an impressive 4000 mAH battery. The company claims the battery to last for 2 days of moderate usage.  Mi A2 lite packs a dual 12MP + 5 MP rear camera, with 12 MP primary sensor featuring large 1.25 micro m pixels and PDAG for fast and accurate autofocus. The front camera is of 5 MP which supports AI portrait mode, taking photos with bokeh without a dual camera. 

As the Mi A2 Lite is an Android One device, it gets regular software updates and patches from Google for two years. Being an Android One device, it also lacks unwanted bloatware and software on the phone.

Availability in Nepal
