Vivo Y51s Announced | Another Affordable 5G Phone is Coming
With the growth in 5G users, both smartphone manufacturers, as well as Telecom Operators, are pushing their boundaries to overcome the demand. In recent times, many companies are launching affordable 5G enabled devices, and growth in 5G users are noticed. As the launch for Realme V5 is nearing, Vivo just launched Vivo Y51s in China. Vivo Y51s is unveiled at the price of 1,798 Yuan [ Converted |~Rs. 30.6K Nepali Price].
Vivo Y51s Overview
This new Vivo Y51s is similar to recently announced Vivo Y70s and shares most of the specs. More importantly, Vivo Y51s is a slightly downgraded version of Vivo Y70.
Vivo Y51s comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. With the punch hole housing selfie camera, it offers 90.72 screen-to-body ratios. Furthermore, this display offers 16M colors and ~395 PPI density.
Talking about the physical overview, the presence of punch-hole makes the display looks clean and a thin chin available at the bottom. The rear side of the phone is covered with a triple rear camera and Vivo logo.
Vivo Y51s is powered by Exynos 880 chipset which has integrated 5G Modem. This modem supports sub-6GHz 5G with a maximum downlink of 2.55Gbps and an uplink of 1.28Gbps. This chipset is coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is no dedicated MicroSD Card slot. Graphical tasks are under control by Mali-G76 GPU.
This Vivo Y51s is identical to iQOO U1 which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. So, apart from the chipset, these two devices have similar specs.
In the market full of mid-ranged devices with Quad Rear Camera, Vivo Y51s comes with a triple rear camera. So, price going to play a big role here. The main lens is 48MP Primary Sensor with a 2MP Depth Sensor and a 2MP Macro Lens. This triple rear camera comes with features like night scene mode, EIS, slow-motion video shooting, 10x digital zoom, and 4K video recording.
On the front, it has 8MP Selfie Camera housing inside the punch hole. It supports HDR and records video in 1080p@30fps.
Battery & Others
Vivo Y51s has a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It has a USB-C port and also 3.5mm headphone jack. This device is running on Android 10 with FunTouch OS 10.5

Vivo Y51s is available in China with a marked price of 1,798 Yuan. But there are no words from the company for the launch in other parts.
