Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G Price Revealed | Best of the Best?
Samsung has been working on its latest flagship Galaxy S20 series and rumors about these devices have been releasing since last year. But the latest information has confirmed that three variants of Galaxy S20 series: Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Overview of Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G
Samsung has finally settled its naming of new flagship phones to the Galaxy S20 series rather than Galaxy S11 series. And among the three variants of the Galaxy S20 series, the Ultra model will be the beast. It will have the latest and greatest chipset, quad rear camera setup with 108MP primary lens, QHD+ AMOLED panel supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate and a bigger 5000 mAh battery. The price and exact release date have not been announced yet, but according to the recent rumors, it seems like Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will be the expensive phone that will costs around €1,300 for the base variant. That means the expected price of Galaxy S20 5G Ultra in Nepal will be about Rs. 1,64,999. There will not be any 4G variant of Galaxy S20 Ultra and based on the pricing it seems like Galaxy S20 Ultra model is priced €300 more than Galaxy S10+ during release. These models might get cheaper in USA as euro prices also include VAT which USA does not charge.
Chipset and Performance
Samsung has always been using the best performing chipset in its S series devices. And keeping the trend Samsung is using Snapdragon 865 5G chipset in Galaxy S20 Ultra that will be released in the USA. Similarly, other S 20 Ultra models that are being released in the international market will have Exynos 990 5G chipset. These latest chipsets are better performing and powerful than its previous generation and will smoothly handle any application and games that are thrown at it.
For the first time, Samsung will release a Galaxy S20 Ultra device with whopping 16GB RAM. The 16GB RAM option is more than adequate but it's nice to have more RAM, and this option will only be available to the Ultra models only. Three variants of Galaxy S20 Ultra has been confirmed to be released, they are 12/128GB, 12/256GB, and 16/512GB. Not only that you can expand your storage by using external microSD card slots that can expand storage by up to 1TB, and again this option will be available to Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy S20 Plus models.
Display and Design
Without a doubt, the display used in Galaxy S20 Ultra will be the best Display available in the market. About the design and form factor, Galaxy S20 ultra looks similar to Galaxy S10 Plus but a bit taller and slimmer. At the front, we will see a punch-hole display, while at back there is a huge rectangular camera housing cramping quad camera and an LED flashlight in it. The display size has been increased than its predecessor and now the display size of Galaxy S20 Ultra is 6.7-inch. The QHD+ (1440X3040 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED panel can produce bright and color-saturated images that can have an excellent viewing angle even in broad daylight conditions. The screen will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and 524 PPI pixel density, and to protect the display Corning Gorilla Glass 6 is used at the front and back panel. Additionally, the major change we are gaining in Galaxy S20 ultra is that it will have a 120Hz refresh rate that can make content movement even smoother than what OnePlus 7 Pro is offering. But according to Samsung, they will only render content at FHD resolution if users choose a 120Hz refresh rate.
One of the exciting features that Galaxy S20 Ultra is getting is a quad rear camera setup with a 108MP main sensor. It is the first time that Samsung is using a 108MP sensor. This sensor also has OIS capability for stabilization. Similarly, there is a 48MP telephoto sensor with OIS, that has 10X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom, resulting in whooping 100x hybrid zoom. The third camera sensor is an ultra-wide sensor with 12MP lens that can provide Super Steady videos. Finally, a 3D TOF sensor is added alongside the LED flash.
At market camera of Note 10 Plus has been among the top best available camera. And with the introduction of Galaxy S20 Ultra that tittle will shift toward it. Regarding video quality, Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will be capable enough to record 4K video at up to 60fps. Similarly, FHD videos (1080p @ up to 240 fps), and HD videos (720p @ 960 fps) can also be captured with stereo sound effect.

The battery size of the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G has increased from its predecessors. Galaxy S20 Ultra is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging technology. This means you can charge this device from zero to 100% within 74 min of charging time. Additionally, it will support 15W fast wireless charging technology and 9W fast reverse wireless charging.
About connectivity, Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G comes with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and FM radio. The under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor has been improved drastically compared to previous generations. And sadly, there will be no headphone jack anymore for flagship Galaxy S series.
