Samsung Galaxy M62 Overview

First thing first, Samsung Galaxy M62 is a rebranded version of the Samsung Galaxy F62. Samsung Galaxy F62 is launched exclusively in India and the same smartphone will launch in the rest of the market with the Samsung Galaxy M62 name. However, we can expect minor changes in the specs of the Samsung Galaxy M62 depending upon the market.

Samsung Galaxy M62 has the burden to continue the success of Samsung Galaxy M51. With a display size of 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED, Samsung Galaxy M62 has a resolution of 2400 x 1080-pixels. For an upper mid-range segment, Samsung Galaxy M62 arrives with an excellent display quality which includes 420 nits (peak), 20:9 ratio, and ~393 ppi density. This device has a dimension of 163.9 x 76.3 x 9.5 mm (6.45 x 3.00 x 0.37 in) and 218 g (7.69 oz)weight.

Following the trend, Samsung Galaxy M62 arrives with a punch-hole display at the center of the display which provides enough space for the all-screen display. The one compromise with this device is it arrives with a plastic back, and plastic frame.

In recent times, Samsung is giving more priority to its in-house Exynos chipset and increase its use in mid-range smartphones. Though late, Samsung’s flagship Exynos chipset can be seen used in some recent M-Series and A-Series smartphones. The same story is here with Samsung Galaxy M62 as it arrives with Exynos 9825 chipset. It’s an octa-core flagship chipset that was earlier used in Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Talking about the memory configuration, it has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Mali-G76 MP12 is available as GPU.

The camera configuration of the Samsung Galaxy M62 seems inspired by that of its predecessor Samsung Galaxy M51. Its rear camera is lead by 64 MP Primary Lens( f/1.8, 26mm, 1/1.73", 0.8µm, PDAF) which is supported by 12 MP ultrawide Lens with 123-degree FOV, 5 MP (f/2.4) Macro Sensor and 5 MP (f/2.4) Depth Sensor. On the front, it has a 32MP Selfie Camera fitted perfectly inside the tiny punch-hole in the display.

Battery & Others

A massive 7000mAh battery fuels this Samsung Galaxy M62 with the assist of 25W fast charging. This device is running on the latest Android 11 with One UI as the skin. The flagship trend doesn’t affect this device as it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
