Samsung Galaxy M40 Overview
O SO WOW! (Display/ Design)
Samsung Galaxy M40 is the first device in M-Series lineup to get Infinity-O-Display (a Punch Hole Display) that hold Selfie Camera. The display and design of the device are so stunning that we fail to find any point to complain about. Galaxy M40 features 6.3 inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080p). The display of the phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
The device comes with a 7.9mm sleek body and premium dual tone finish ( Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue). The back side of the phone got Triple Camera setup with a fingerprint sensor.
O SO SWANKY (Rear Camera)
Talking about the rear camera, Samsung packs Triple Camera in a vertical module in this device. Galaxy M40 got 32MP (f/1.7) primary lens, along with an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor.
O SO SOCIAL (Front Camera)
Inside the punch hole display in front, the device got a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. For a budget phone, the front facing sensor seems great.
O SO CLEAR ( Video Recording)
The Galaxy M40 is able to capture video in 4K. The other capabilities are super slow-mo @ 240 FPS, Hyperlapse and 8MP/123-degree Ultra-Wide lens.
O SO QUICK (Performance)
Samsung Galaxy M40 is the first device in M-Series to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor. All previous M-series phones had Samsung’s own Exynos Processor. Galaxy M40 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675, an octa-core chipset based on 11nm architecture and packing Kryo 460 cores, clocked at up to 2.0GHz. Finally, Samsung provides users the performance they’ve been asking for. This is the same processor that Redmi Note 7 Pro had and seems real battle is on between these devices.
For GPU, the device got Qualcomm Adreno 612 and 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. With this combination of Processor and RAM, it seems the heavy CPU usage games like PUBG runs without any frame drop.
For the storage, the device comes with 128GB of internal storage and can be expandable up to 512GB.
O SO NEXT LEVEL (Screen Sound Technology)
Galaxy M40 got no earpiece. Now, how to hear telephone calls? Don’t worry! Galaxy M40 got Screen Sound Technology that transfer your screen into a speaker.
O SO ZIPPY( Battery)
Galaxy M40 packs just 3,500mAh battery and it seems surprising as Galaxy M30 got massive 5,000mAh battery. Well, the device comes with 15W Type C fast charging.
O SO SECURE
With Galaxy M40, we can get both face-unlock and fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back of the phone and promised to work at super speed whereas face unlock may take seconds to unlock.
O SO FRESH( Operating System)
The device comes with the latest Android 9 operating system and Samsung ONE UI as its skin.
