Samsung recently announced the new Galaxy A50s and A30s phones, which are the successor of already popular Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A30. The Galaxy A30s comes with an HD+ screen, Exynos 7904 (14 nm) octa-core processor, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a relatively bigger 4,000 mAh battery and triple rear camera setup along with 16MP front-facing camera. Display and Design
The new Samsung Galaxy A30s packs a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. The phone carries a marvelous pixel density of 403 ppi which is great in mid-range devices. There is a tiny waterdrop notch at the top of the screen which holds great enough 16MP selfie camera. The infinity display of the phones looks beautiful aesthetically. The design of the device is up to date and follows the design trend of 2019 and the infinity display with smaller bezels make it look it even more beautiful.
There is an in-display fingerprint sensor and it is expected to be faster than that of A50. The triple camera at the back sits horizontally without any design issues. The handset is available in color variants of Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green and, Prism Crush Violet2.
In the photography department, you are getting a triple camera setup at the rear. The primary 25-megapixel camera has an aperture f/1.7 and the second ultra-wide-angle sensor is 8-megapixel. The third is a 5-megapixel depth sensor which is expected to take good bokeh and portrait shots. The phone shares the camera capability of Vivo S1 which is one the good vivo phone in the market.
The LED flash sits along with a triple camera in a row and has the capability of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps. You are not getting a 4K camera in this device. For the selfies, there is a 16-MP sensor at the front sitting at the tiny notch.
The Galaxy A30s comes is powered by Samsung’s home-brewed Exynos 7904 (14 nm) chipset. Under the hood, there are two processors –Octa-core (2x1.8 GHz Cortex-A73 & 6x1.6 GHz Cortex-A53) in the device which certainly delivers a smooth multitasking performance. 4GB of RAM back up the phone along with two variants of storage. There is 4/64GB and 4/128GB variant of the device.
The connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, mobile hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB-type C. There is USB 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector on the handset and a fingerprint (under display, optical) which seems to be relatively slow.
