Redmi 9C Officially Announced | Will it be able to Dominate The Entry-Level Market?
Redmi, the subbrand of Xiaomi are known for bringing the best affordable smartphones in the tech world. The brand has unveiled the new Redmi 9C alongside the Redmi 9A in the brand’s Redmi 9 series family. The Redmi 9C is launched at the price of RM 429(Converted |~Rs.12K Nepali Price) in Malaysia. Redmi 9C Overview
Redmi 9C is the new entry-level smartphone from the brand in the Redmi 9 series. It arrives with the latest Mediatek G35 chipset along with some attractive and impressive features. Now let’s see more in detail about Redmi 9C.
Design/Display
Redmi 9C is very similar in terms of outlook and design to its sibling Redmi 9A. It houses a water-drop notch with the selfie camera and has thin bezels all around the corners with a noticeable chin. It sports a 6.53-inch HD+ Dot Drop display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a tall aspect ratio of 20:9 same as Redmi 9A. It also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor & face unlock.
Camera
Now coming to the optical department, the highlighting part of Redmi 9C. It sports a triple rear square-shaped camera module that consists of a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. And at the front, it comes with the 5MP selfie snapper with an aperture of F/2.2.
Performance
Under the hood, Redmi 9C is powered by the new MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core chipset the same as that of Realme C11. It is the latest gaming-centric chipset from Mediatek that features eight Arm Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz. It comes coupled with the 2GB RAM with a 32GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
On the software front, it comes preloaded with Android 10 OS along with MIUI 11.

Redmi 9C boasts a massive battery backup of 5,000mAh that comes with the support for 10W wired fast charging. Talking about the connectivity of the device it comes with dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, IR blaster, and 3.5mm audio jack.

Redmi 9C is priced at RM 429 in Malaysia and will be made available for sale in late July in the Malaysian market. It is expected to hit the Nepalese tech market very soon as the brand is very popular here. The Redmi 9C is expected to be priced around Rs. 14,999 in Nepal. The smartphone will be available in three different color variants such as Twilight Blue, Midnight Grey, and Sunrise Orange. Redmi 9C will be competing with the likes of Redmi 8A dual, Realme Narzo 10A & recently launched Realme C11.
