Realme X2 & Realme 6 Pro Comparison: Battle Between The Best Mid-Range Phone From Realme

Realme has been one of the big brands in the South Asian market 8% market share in India and lists out as top 5 smartphone brands in India. In recent times, we have seen Realme has introduced various phones in the mid-range segment and Realme X2 being one of the best phones under Rs. 40,000 in Nepal also. Recently, they have launched a new series. i.e. Realme 6 series which comes with standard Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. Now, the specs sheet of Realme 6 Pro is similar to the previous Realme X2. So, what’s the difference between these phones? We are going to find out in this blog.

Design, Build Quality & Screen

The design of these phones looks quite similar on the back with quad-camera set up and the Realme logo on the bottom right. The design looks quite different on the front, as Realme 6 Pro features dual in-display camera whereas Realme X2 follows the tradition notch design. Both this phone looks quite good. If you compare these two phones side by side, Realme 6 Pro has a bit more bezel than Realme X2.

Both of these comes with Glass back and plastic frames. As for Realme X2, it comes with corning gorilla glass 5 protection on both front and back whereas, Realme 6 Pro only has protection on the front.

Talking about the screen on the phone, there a huge difference here. Realme X2 comes with a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED panel with 1080x2340 pixels whereas Realme 6 Pro features 6.6 inch IPS panel with 1080x2400 resolution and 90Hz screen. The choice is yours which one will you prefer.

As for fingerprint scanner, Realme X2 comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor whereas Realme 6 Pro comes with the side-mounted physical sensor. And both these scanners are quite fast and reliable.

Performance

The Realme X2 is built around a particularly powerful mid-range SoC - the Snapdragon 730G. The chipset is a variation of the vanilla Snapdragon 730 but with a slightly more powerful GPU due to the higher clock speeds. It's still the same Adreno 618 GPU. Whereas Realme 6 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset. In-terms of performance, Realme X2 is slightly more powerful and gives better performance. But there is not so much difference.

As for the software, Realme X2 comes with Android 9 with ColorOS 6 whereas Realme 6 Pro comes with Android 10 out of the box with Realme UI.

Both the phone comes with 6/64 GB as base variant and both have UFS 2.1. Realme X2 comes at 8/256GB variant as max whereas Realme 6 Pro comes with 8/128GB variant.

Camera

Talking about the cameras on the phone, both the phone comes with a quad-camera setup on the back. Realme X2 comes with 64MP 1/1.7-inch, f/1.8, 8MP Ultra-wide (119-degree), f/2.3, 2MP Telephoto lens  f/2.5 and 2MP Macro lens, f/2.4. And Realme 6 Pro comes with 64MP Samsung GW1, 1/1.7-inch, f/1.8, 8MP Ultra-wide (119-degree), f/2.3, 12MP Telephoto lens  f/2.5 and 2MP Macro lens, f/2.4.

Both this phone can shoot videos at 4k at 30 fps and both these phones have slow-motion features as well. As for the front-facing camera, Realme X2 comes with 32 MP front-facing camera whereas Realme 6 Pro features dual-lens with 16MP Sony IMX 471,f/2.0 as the primary lens and 8MP Ultra-wide (105-degree), f/2.3 as the secondary lens.

Battery

Realme X2 is powered by a 4000mAh battery whereas Realme 6 Pro is powered by a 4300 mAh battery. Both these phone supports VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 and comes with 30-watt charger out of the box. These phones can go from 0 to 100% in around 1 hour 5 minutes.

Final Thought

Talking about the pricing of these phones, both these phones have similar pricing. Realme X2 is available at Rs. 36,000 in Nepal for 6/128 GB variant whereas Realme 6 Pro is yet to be launched in Nepal. he base variant of the Realme 6 Pro (6/64GB) is expected to be launched with a price tag of Rs. 33,000 when it hits the Nepal mobile retail shops and 6/128 GB variant costs around Rs.35,500. And we can see there is not a lot of difference in the price also. We will give our complete review once this phone gets launched in Nepal.
