Realme To Launch Quad Camera Smartphone - Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro

Sanjeev Dulal 7 Aug, 2019

The leading smartphone company in the mid-range segment is coming up with new innovation – 64MP Quad Camera smartphone. Realme first teased its 64MP duad-camera phone back in June and now the technology is scheduled to launch tomorrow. Realme is set to unveil the technology at a “Camera Innovation Event” in New Delhi and it will reveal more about its 64MP quad-camera technology smartphone. The price of Realme 5 is not announced yet and you can still check the latest price of Realme phones in Nepal.

The Realme series has just reached to number 3 and most of us were assuming this 64MP quad-camera smartphone will be called the Realme 4, but that won’t happen. The new phone will be named Realme 5 as Chinese smartphone brands ricochet the number four because it’s considered unfavorable in their home country.

Gathering the more information of this, Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme India has obliquely confirmed that the company will admittedly skip the number four for its imminent smartphone. Sheth has changed his Twitter handle to Madhav ‘5’ Quad, confirming that the upcoming smartphone will be called Realme 5 and will come with a quad-camera setup. He even recently tweeted to get ready for the world’s first hands-on experience of 64MP Quad Camera on a smartphone, tomorrow at the realme camera innovation event.

Realme 5: Everything we know so far

The imminent Realme flagship -Realme 5 is confirmed to have a four-camera set up at the back with a 64MP main camera and is likely to be the world’s first smartphone to pack that huge camera. We anticipate that the camera would be - primary + ultrawide + telephoto + depth sensor combination, bringing a lot of versatility in smartphone photography.

Realme 3 successor could be called Realme 5.

Realme has also long been speaking about a higher-end phone with a flagship-grade chipset, and we can expect Realme 5 to pack the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 855 or the 855 Plus to their lineup. Generally, all Realme phones have been in the sub 40k segment but the Realme 5 is likely to break that trend and we can expect the price of Realme 5 to be around 50-60K here in Nepal.

Madhav Sheth had also confirmed that the upcoming flagship will make its global debut in India before hitting other markets, and we can expect the phone to launch soon after India launch here in Nepal. The speculations suggest that the Realme 5 will come sometime in September.

Realme has also scheduled an event for August 15 in China where more details about the Realme 5 could surface.
