Realme Launches Quad Camera – Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro at Unbeatable Price

The young and aggressive smartphone company Realme has recently launched the latest pair of aggressively priced smartphones. The new duo features four cameras at the back and the latest and powerful processor with the massive amount of battery. Realme 5 Pro series is a solid competitor to the Redmi 7 series - Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in Nepal. 

While it comes to the price, the phone is priced too aggressively. The Realme 5 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for 3/32GB variant, Rs. 10,999 for 4/64GB variant and Rs. 11,999 for 4/128GB variant in the Indian market and the expected price of Realme 5 in Nepal is Rs. 17,999 for 3/32GB, Rs. 19,499 for 4/64GB and Rs. 21,999 for 4/128GB variant. Similarly, Realme 5 Pro is priced in India at Rs. 13,999, 14,999 and 16,999 for 4/64GB, 6/64GB and 8/128GB variants. Realme 5 Overview

Realme 5 is the more affordable version of the Realme 5 series that packs a 6.5” display with FH+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset making the Realme 5, the second phone with the 11 nm chipset, and first in India. The Mi A3 is the first one to feature SD665 which is yet to launch in the Indian market. There are three variants of Realme 5 on the basis of storage and RAM – 3/32GB, 4/64GB, 4/128GB. There is also the dedicated microSD slot on the handset and don't get confused with the hybrid slot as it supports two SIM cards and up to 256GB of external storage.

The Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro is the first Realme phone with four cameras on the back. The lower-end variant of Realme 5 Series - the Realme 5  has a camera of – 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, followed by an ultrawide angle shooter with 119-degree FoV and 8MP sensor. The other 2 MP two sensors are for the macro shot and for the depth sensing. For the selfies, there is a 13MP unit at the front which is hidden in the waterdrop notch and still looks beautiful.

Talking about the battery, Realme 5 is backed up by a huge 5,000 mAh battery. The weight has significantly raised up by the battery, which apparently adds a huge lump of its 210g weight. Sadly, it comes with microUSB port and no quick charging and you're getting 10W charging. The phone is available in two colors of  Crystal Blue or Crystal Purple colors.

Realme 5 Pro Overview

Realme 5 Pro is the more powerful version of its sibling. This phone appears in a small size than Realme 5, but it carries more powerful internals. Although the normal and the Pro variant has been pretty much similar in shape and size, now the Realme 5 Pro comes with a slightly smaller screen than the Realme 5 and is about 15% lighter.

The major and primary difference is its display size, camera, and battery. Realme 5 Pro packs 6.3-inch display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio.

The Realme 5 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 712 chipset which is a minor upgrade over the Snapdragon 710, mostly on the GPU side. The RAM and storage are also upgraded and Pro is still available in three variants - 4/64GB, 6/64GB, and 8/128GB.

Another difference it shares it the camera - 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor that also outputs 12MP photos but with way better quality as the main sensor and every other camera is identical to that with Realme 5. The upgrade can be even seen on the selfie shooter as the Pro packs 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

 Even though it packs smaller sized battery, the battery comes with VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging support and gets topped up over a USB-C port. There is also an AI Freezer function that studies your habits and adjusts background app running to save power.
