Display and Design

Realme 6i has a beautiful 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ panel at the front. The display panel has a 1600x720 pixel resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio with 270 PPI density. The display is good for media consumption and gaming but being an IPS panel it is not as vibrant and color-saturated as AMOLED or OLED panels.

The front panel embeds a 16MP front-facing camera in a teardrop notch instead of 5MP seen on Realme 5i. The body itself is made of plastic and the back panel is also made out of plastic to reduce the cost and the phone does look nice.

Chipset and Performance

To power the Realme 6i, MediaTek Helio G80 Chipset is used. The processor has eight cores, two of which are high performing clocking at 2GHz Cortex A75, while remaining are power-efficient 1.8GHz Cortex A55 cores. Similarly, Mali G52 MC2 GPU is used to handle the graphic intensive task. This chipset can handle daily tasks like media consumption, internet surfing, and casual gaming well but heavy gaming on this device is favorable due to limited performance. There is two variant of Realme 6i, 3/64GB and 4/128GB. This device does support dual nano 4G SIM for connectivity and there is an external microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Similarly, there is an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP dedicated macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera can shoot 4K video at 30fps and use gyro-EIS for stability. The photo and video quality will be good but is as a low-mid range device they can not produce excellent shots.

At the front, there is a 16MP camera sensor embedded in a teardrop notch in a display that provides good photos and video. This camera can be used for face unlock and video call service besides shooting photos and videos.
