Realme 6 Launched in Nepal | Real Competitor to Redmi Note 9 Pro

Realme is the fastest-growing tech brand in the world. It has not been long since the brand launched its flagship smartphone Realme X50 Pro 5G and the brand launched its new Realme 6 series smartphones in India via online event due to coronavirus outbreak. Now, today Realme 6 and Realme 6i get launched in Nepal but sadly, still no Realme 6 Pro. Realme 6 is priced at Rs. 32,990 for 8/128GB Variant in Nepal. At this price, Realme 6 will compete with Redmi Note 9 Pro which is also recently launched in Nepal at the price of Rs.29,999 for 6/128GB Variant.

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro Overview

This Realme 6 series seems to be the successor of the Realme 5 series and the brand looks to compete with the Redmi Note 8 series and upcoming Redmi Note 9 series. Now let’s dig into the specs of the smartphones and look at what they have to offer to the users. 

Design and Display

Both of the smartphones Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro come with pretty much the same design and display. Realme 6 comes equipped with the 6.5-inch(16.5cm) Full HD+ IPS LCD display panels whereas Realme 6 Pro arrives equipped with the 6.6-inch(16.6cm) Full HD+ IPS LCD display panels. Both of the smartphones come with the 90hz refresh rate and the touch sampling rate of the 120Hz. The display of both Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro boasts support for a 20:9 aspect ratio with the HD resolutions of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Realme 6 features a screen to body ratio of 90.5% while Realme 6 Pro features 90.6% of screen to body ratio. Both of the smartphones come with the corning gorilla glass 5 protection & peak brightness of 480 nits. The screen of the Realme 6 features a single punch-hole whereas the Realme 6 Pro’s display features a pill-shaped punch-hole for housing dual front-facing lens.


Now looking at the design of the smartphones, Realme 6 showcases a comet inspired design built with an optical plating process & visual effect is bright and mesmerizing. Realme 6 Pro’s design is inspired by thunder and lightning which is manufactured applying UV-curing offset printing technology.


Talking about the optics of the smartphones, Realme 6 features an in-display 16MP ultra-clear front camera. On the rear of the smartphone, it comes with the 64MP AI Quad Camera setup along with an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP B&W portrait lens. The back camera also supports UIS Max video stabilization. 


Realme 6 Pro arrives with a dual front camera setup that comprises a Sony IMX471 16MP main sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide lens with 105° FOV. The selfie cameras of both the phones support features like  Portrait Mode, automatic HDR, time-lapse, AI Beauty, 120fps slow-motion video shooting and Portrait Nightscape (supposed to arrive through OTA update).

On the rear, Realme 6 Pro comes with a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 119° FOV, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro lens with a focal length of 4cm. It also arrives with a feature like Night Scape 3.0 bringing back exciting features like tripod mode with a super long exposure for night shots, ultra nightscape mode, and expert mode. They also support dual UIS video stabilization.



Now talking about the processor of the smartphones, Realme 6 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset that also powered Redmi Note 8 Pro whereas Realme 6 Pro is the world’s first smartphone that comes powered by the new Qualcomm snapdragon 720G chipset which is the highlight feature of the smartphone.  The Realme 6 series offers its consumers with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storageOn the software front, both the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro arrives preloaded with the Android 10-based Realme UI out-of-the-box



On the battery front, both the smartphones Realme 6 & Realme 6 Pro is backed up by the same battery of 4,300mAh battery with the 30W flash charge technology. As per Realme’s claims, the smartphone can be fully charged in a mere 60 minutes of time.
