Qualcomm Launched Its Flagship Processor Snapdragon 855 for 2019:More AI, More Power, More Speed

The brand new beast Processor Snapdragon 855 will meet all your wishes. Thanks to Qualcomm Inc. for all the hard work, research and development.

Qualcomm Inc. is a leading semiconductor & telecommunications equipment company that designs and markets wireless telecommunications products and services. With the success of flagship System on a Chip (SoC): Snapdragon 845 in 2018, they announced their new flagship SoC Snapdragon 855 for 2019 on Dec 4th.

With a huge improvement in AI capabilities, a more powerful GPU, better performance and faster connectivity, as it moves to further take the giants steps to 5G technology.

Now, what we can expect is all the Giant Smartphone Companies will be embedding this new flagship processor in their upcoming flagship phones. Moreover, most of them will exhibit their Phones with this new processor in WMC (World Mobile Congress) happening on 25-29 February 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.

It is unlike anything that's come before, it harnesses multi-gigabit 5G connectivity. According to Qualcomm, the new processor will deliver up to three times the AI performance compared to the previous generation. Next generation on-device AI capabilities make your voice, camera, gaming, and power management smarter, faster and more intuitive than ever before.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is a 7nm octa-core processor unlike 10nm in SD 845 and also features more powerful Adreno 640 GPU where the previous processor features Adreno 630.

The new 855 processor is not only the spec update but it is the chip that will be the first to appear in the first waves of 5G phones.

 Qualcomm said. “It can now recognize who and what you’re capturing, it understands and recognizes your full environment, and intelligently set parameters so you can always take the best photos and capture the best videos.”
