OFFICIAL: Oppo Reno2, Reno2 Z and Reno2 F Announced with Quad Cameras.

Oppo has revealed three new Reno Models which covers the gap between Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X ZOOM. Oppo announced three phones for Reno 2 and they are Oppo Reno 2, Oppo Reno 2Z and Oppo Reno 2F. All these Reno 2 models have the quad-camera set up on the back with the pop-up front camera. Only Oppo Reno 2 features the Shark Fin Pop up whereas Reno2 Z and Reno2 F feature normal pop up camera. There’s no word on official pricing yet, the phone will go on sale in November.

Oppo Reno 2

Oppo Reno 2 features the 6.5 inch AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2400 resolution and 405ppi density. The front design of all three models are quite similar and has a bezel-less screen. All thanks to the pop-up camera. Oppo Reno 2 features the Reno shark fin pop up camera design and is the only phone to have it on Reno 2 series. There is no physical fingerprint sensor as it features the in-display fingerprint sensor.

Oppo Reno 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset with Octa-core (2x2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. This phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

It features a primary 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2.0” sensor with f/1.7 aperture and upgraded features like OIS and ultra-steady video. We have quad camera set up on the back of the phone with a primary 48 MP, f/1.7, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0", 0.8µm, PDAF, OIS, 13MP, f/2.4, (telephoto), 1/3.4", PDAF, 8 MP, f/2.2, 16mm (ultrawide), 1/3.2" and 2 MP, f/2.4, 1/5", 1.75µm (dedicated macro camera). And for the front camera, it has Motorized pop-up 16 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide).

As for the battery, it is powered by a 4000mAh battery with a 20watt fast charger. Oppo Reno 2 is priced around 500$ and will be launched around September.

Oppo Reno2 Z

Oppo Reno2 Z is another phone in Reno2 series and is almost identical to the standard Reno2 but lacks features like OIS in the camera, shark fin notch etc. Oppo Reno2 Z features the 6.53 inch AMOLED screen with 1080x2340 resolution. The design is quite similar to Reno2 but it lacks the shark fin pop up camera and has normal pop up camera.

It features the same primary 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2.0” sensor with f/1.7 aperture camera which is being used in Reno 2 but lacks OIS but it still has steady video feature. It also features quad camera set up with 48MP Primary Camera, 8MP wide angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens.

The Oppo Reno2 Z is powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 chipset with the same memory configuration – 8/256GB and is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

Oppo Reno2 F

Oppo Reno2 F is the third phone in Reno2 line up with some downgraded features. Though it features 48 MP primary camera, it isn’t the Sony one (seems to be the Samsung ISOCELL GM1). And Reno2 F also lacks the shark fin motorized camera. Other than that everything is quite similar to Reno2. This phone also features a 6.53 inch AMOLED screen.

Reno2 F features less powerful Mediatek MT6771V Helio P70 (12nm) chipset compared to MediaTek Helio P90 chipset on Reno2 Z. Talking about the camera, it features primary 48 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.3", PDAF, OIS, 8 MP, f/2.2, 16mm (ultrawide), 1/3.2" and 2 MP Macro lens and 2 MP, depth sensor. This phone is also powered by 4000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
