OPPO Reno 2 with 20X Zoom Quad Camera, Snapdragon 730G Launched
Keeping aside innovation in the bezel-less display, every smartphone manufacturer is now focused on the camera. Looking at the speed of innovation in Camera in smartphones, the DSLR camera might be replaced soon by a huge number. Samsung already announced a 108MP camera sensor and Mi Mix 4 may be the first phone to use it. Today, Realme announced Realme XT with a 64MP camera sensor. After the astonishing success of OPPO Reno 10X Zoom, OPPO today launched OPPO Reno 2 with 20X Zoom. In India, the OPPO Reno 2 is launched at the price of INR.36,999 for 8/256GB variant. OPPO Reno 2 Overview
OPPO Reno 2 comes with 6.5” Dynamic AMOLED screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. This device is truly bezel-less with a 93.1 % screen to body ratio. As the company advertises with tag,” See More, See Clear”, multimedia and social media use will be much easier and would have a better experience. This phone supports Full HD+ and has the protection of Gorilla Glass 6. The screen also supports the in-display fingerprint sensor which is a 3rd-Gen optical fingerprint scanner.
On the rear side, the quad-camera are placed vertically one after another. There is an O-dot just below the camera which helps to protect the camera from the surface while placing it on a table or something.
We can notice there is a major upgrade in the processor in OPPO Reno 2 from the earlier OPPO Reno. This OPPO Reno 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G which is a gaming-centric chipset and one of the most powerful chipsets in mid-range devices. The octa-core processor is the combination of Dual 2.2GHz Kyro 470 Gold and Hexa 1.7GHz Kyro 470 Silver cores.
The octa-core SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal UFS 2.1 storage. As the device comes with a memory card slot, storage would be no problem.
OPPO is renowned for its camera performance and the Reno series is the sure-shot proof. First thing first, the OPPO Reno 2 has a quad-camera setup, a combination of both OIS( Optical Image Stabilization) + EIS( Electronic Image Stabilization), 5x Hybrid Zoom, and 20x Digital Zoom. The camera configuration of this phone is Main 48MP Sony IMX586 Sensor, 13MP Telephoto Sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and 2MP Mono Lens. The ultra-wide-angle sensor takes image and video in 116-degree FOV. The additional features that this combination poses are Ultra Dark Mode, Ultra Steady Video and many more.
As the display is bezel-less, the front-facing camera is in Shark-fin motor which slides in and out of action in just 0.8 seconds. The 16MP selfie shooter supports face unlock as well as front video bokeh effect for the first time ever.
OPPO Reno 2 is fueled with a 4,000mAh battery and supports 20watt fast charging VOOC 3.0. The type-C USB port also comes in handy with this device. This smartphone runs on ColorOS 6.1 on the top of Android 9.0. The design of this device is stunning as it comes with a 3D Curved body.
