In past we have seen notches, we've seen hole punches and we've seen pop-up cameras. And now we've seen a pop-up camera in the shape of a shark fin which has been launched by OPPO. This is OPPO newest flagship i.e. the OPPO Reno 10X ZOOM and OPPO RENO. This phone is packed full of features especially that 10 times zoom and it's launching at a very interesting time the Huawei P30 Pro which is its main competitor has an unclear future ahead of it. Oppo has officially launched Oppo Reno 10X Zoom in Nepal. The 8GB/256GB variant of the phone is currently available in Nepal. The official Price of OPPO Reno 10X ZOOM is Rs. 89,990 for 8GB and 256 GB variant.

Design

On the front of the phone, no bezels at all but has a slightly thicker chin. There's no notch and zero space for a front camera which is why you'll have the fin pop up whenever you need to take a selfie. Personally out of all the pop-up camera designs that we've seen this is probably my favorite. It has a 6.6 inch AMOLED FULL HD resolution screen with a pixel density of 387 PPI. The colors are quite good and vibrant as well the viewing angle is also quite good as you expect from an AMOLED screen. This phone comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection which is always nice to have.

Performance

Talking about the performance of the phone, OPPO Reno 10x ZOOM features the latest Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset so you can expect a great performance from this phone.  After all only Samsung's latest Exynos is a match for it in the Android world. The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom runs Android Pi with the latest color OS 6 on top. This is not the cleanest most pared on UI you'll see but the extras are nice and they don't bog down the phone.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom comes with two different variants. i.e. 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal Storage and 6/8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage. You can extend the storage with the help of MicroSD card up to 256 GB but it uses the shared SIM Slot.

Camera

The OPPO RENO 10 times zoom has a triple camera setup. There's the telephoto camera and an ultra-wide one but the star is the 48-megapixel main sensor it combines every four adjacent pixels into one which results in a higher-quality 12-megapixel shot. The photos have plenty of detail and a wide dynamic range of accurate colors with good contrast. The processing is also quite good. Talking technically, OPPO RENO 10x ZOOM features 48 MP, f/1.7, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0", 0.8µm, Laser/PDAF, OIS Periscope 13 MP, f/3.0, 130mm (telephoto), 5x optical zoom, Laser/PDAF, OIS 8 MP, f/2.2, 16mm (ultrawide).

The video that OPPO RENO 10X produced blew our expectations. The 4k footage is noise free it's packed with detail and it has great dynamic range. Colors are on point and contrast is top-notch 4k is only optically stabilized but Full HD clips have the benefit of EIS and footage is just as good. The phone can shoot 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, gyro-EIS; video rec. only with the main camera.

The front-facing pop-up camera is one of the major feature of this phone. It features Motorized pop-up 16 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide) sensor which can shoot at 1080p at 30 fps and the photos captured from the front-facing camera just blows the mind.

Other Features

Talking about the battery backup, OPPO RENO 10x ZOOM is powered by a 4065 mAh battery which supports fast charging as well also known as VOOC Flash Charge. If you are a heavy user who likes to play a lot of games and spend a lot of time in social media, don’t worry this phone can give a great battery back up to you.

The sad part is there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone but most of these phones also don’t have apart from few brands like Samsung and many competitors like iPhone and GOOGLE have already killed it from their smartphone. Though there is no headphone jack, this phone has stereo speakers which produce great sound with 24-bit/192kHz audio and Dolby Audio.
