Oppo A52 Officially Released | Punch-hole FHD+ Panel, Quad Camera, Bigger Battery and More

Lots of Oppo smartphones are being released lately and among them, Oppo A52 is one of the budget devices. Oppo has added Oppo Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite in its Find X2 series. Oppo A52 has been officially released on 20 April 2020 in China. Oppo A52 is an upgraded version of Oppo A5 2020, so let's find in detail about Oppo A52.

Overview of Oppo A52

Oppo A52 has a 6.5-inch FHD+ Panel at front of the device with a punch hole to house a selfie camera. Similarly, at the back of the device, there is a rectangular camera housing with the quad rear camera setup. To power, the device Snapdragon 665 chipset is used and a bigger 5000 mAh battery is placed inside Oppo A52.

Display and Design

The front of the Oppo A52 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel. The display has FHD+ (1080X2400 pixels) resolution with 405 PPI. There is a punch hole at the top left corner of the display to house a front-facing camera. The display got a good viewing angle and color saturation but is not as great as AMOLED or OLED Panels. 

Chipset and Performance

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core snapdragon 665 11nm chipset. Moreover, Adreno 610 GPU will assist users to have a smoother graphical interface. Oppo A52 comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage Variant or with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. Being a budget device, with Qualcomm snapdragon 665 cheapest users will have no issues using this device for daily tasks like making calls, internet surfing, and media consumption. But as the chipset got limited performance it could not provide smoother performance while playing games and graphic intensive media content.

Camera

the great thing is that Oppo chooses to provide a quad rear camera setup in A52, similar to that of the Oppo A5 2020 Model.  The rear camera setup has 4 different types of cameras. The primary camera consists of 12MP, f/1.8, 1/2.8", 1.25µm wide sensor, while for ultrawide photography users can have 8MP, 13mm, 1/4", 1.12µm sensor. Similarly, the 2MP macro lens and 2 MP depth sensors are also included in the quad-camera setup. The primary camera is powerful enough to capture 4K video at 30 fps and EIS stabilize the frame captured during the recording. Additionally, 8MP, f/2.0 front-facing camera in a punch hole can also produce a better image while capturing photos and videos.

Battery and Other Features

With the battery capacity of 5,000 mAh, the phone can easily allow users to provide enough screen on-time to use all day without worrying to charge the device. Not only that Oppo A52 supports 18W fast charging technology to reduce the charging time. It also supports reverse charging technology. The fast charging technology is not up to the flagship level, but the 18 Watt charging option will not disappoint users from using the device. 

Regarding connectivity, Oppo A52 supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V5.0, Type C connector, GPS, etc. Similarly, there is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor in Oppo A52. The phone comes with Android 10 out of the box with ColorOS 7.1 skin on top. 

Price and Availability

Oppo A52 has been officially released on 20 April 2020 in China. The price of Oppo A52 is set at CNY 1599 ( around $229). No official information is available regarding the release date and availability in Nepal. Based on the previous trend it seems like Oppo A52 price in Nepal will be about Rs. 27,990 for 4/64GB. With this pricing, Oppo A52 will compete for market share with Realme 6i,  Redmi Note 8, Galaxy M21, Mi A3, Vivo s1, Honor 9x, etc.
