OnePlus Buds Announced | Hybrid of Apple Airpods & Google Buds?

OnePlus is back with a Bang. The company launched OnePlus Nord as one of the most affordable smartphones from the company and also OnePlus Buds. There have been long rumors for the launch of Buds from OnePlus and finally, we witness that too. OnePlus Buds is launched in India at the price of INR.4,990 [Converted |~Rs.8K Nepali Price]. OnePlus Buds Overview

OnePlus had recently launched OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z which was a neckband and now, we have true wireless earbuds from the company as OnePlus Buds. Let’s dig into the specs and built the quality of these earbuds.

The stem of this OnePlus Buds look like Apple Airpods and the head of the earbuds look like Google Buds. OnePlus Buds come with rounded charging case with a matte finish from the outside and has an LED indicator on the front as well as a device switch or pairing button on the rear side of the case. Each earbud weight 4.7grams so you won’t feel heavy while wearing in the ear and charging case weight 37grams. 

Talking about the sound quality of OnePlus Buds, CEO Pete Leu mentioned,” Users will enjoy the OnePlus Buds’ quality sound, Warp Charge capabilities, long battery life, and seamless connection to keep their phone calls, music, and podcasts playing effortlessly while on the go”. OnePlus Buds comes with 13.4mm dynamic drivers and this is supported by Dolby Atmos, Bass Boost, and Dirac Audio Tuner. Also, 3microphone available in each earbud is helpful for external noise cancellation.


OnePlus Buds support Google’s Fast Pair so the moment you open up the case, a pop-up will appear on your phone. While connecting the buds with OnePlus Phones, the pop-up will appears with case battery info. This earbud supports Bluetooth 5.0 so even if your device doesn’t support Google Fast Pair, you can connect over Bluetooth. With the support of Fnatic Mode, it reduces latency to 103ms. This is a much-needed feature for gamers.

Like most of the Wireless Buds, OnePlus Buds also come with Touch Control.

  • Press for 3 seconds: Switch device*
  • Press for 5 seconds when receiving a call


Now, the most important aspect of Earbuds: Battery. Each Earbud has a 35mAh battery and you can play up to 7 hours with them. Next, Charging Case comes with 430mAh battery and according to the company, you can play up to 30hours with the help of this Charing Case. According to the company, a 10minute charge is enough to play earbuds for 10 hours.
