Design and Display
The Nokia 8.3 5G features a 6.81” FullHD+ resolution Puredisplay. It is built on an HDR panel which adjusts the contrast depending on the amount of light of your surroundings. There is a tiny punch hole in the upper left corner which holds the selfie camera. There is a 24MP front-facing camera with ZEISS optics. The phone has an 82.9% screen-to-body ratio and a 386ppi density display.
It is built on a glass sandwich platform and weighs quite heavier at 220 grams. There is a circular camera module at the back which looks similar to that of OnePlus 7T and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The handset comes with a handy ZEISS Quad camera setup with all required lenses. It has a 64MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The main and ultrawide lens is designed with a focus on video recording and low-light performance. The pixel binned videos with ZEISS cinematic effect give more video control options. The third and fourth sensors are a depth sensor and a dedicated macro camera. The less useful or less exciting depth and macro sensor are of 2MP each.
There is a dual-LED flash at the rear and has quite great videography capability. It can take 4K video at 30fps with great stability and quality.
While it comes to the performance, the phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 765G which is coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. There is an integrated 5G modem that supports multiple bands available across the globe.
In the software front, the phone runs on stock Android 10 which is a part of the Android One program. With this program, you’re assured 2 years of upgrades and 3 years of monthly security updates. The phone will be available later this year and the price has been set at 599 Euro for 6/64GB variant and 649 Euro for 8/128GB variant.
