Nokia 5.3 Launched in Nepal | Another Mid-Ranger in Nepali Market

Nokia was supposed to unveil their smartphones in the MWC 2020 but it had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The brand launched a total of three smartphones through an online event today. The smartphones to be launched are the brand’s 1st 5G phone Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 5.3, and Nokia 1.3. Nokia 5.3 is the brand’s latest entrant in the mid-range segment. The price of the Nokia 5.3 in Nepal is Rs. 23,499 for 4/64GB Variant.

Nokia 5.3 Overview

Nokia 5.3 is the successor of the Nokia 5.1 that was launched back in mid-2018. As you know there was no Nokia 8.2 last year and the same thing is with Nokia 5.2, the brand has directly launched the new mid-range smartphone Nokia 5.3 from the series. It arrives with some impressive specs. Now, let’s know more about the specifications of the new device. 


Nokia 5.3 arrives with a mega 6.55-inch HD+ IPS LCD display along with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. Like most of the budget smartphones in the market, it also features a teardrop notch display design. It also houses a fingerprint sensor at the rear.


Now let’s talk about the optics of the Nokia 5.3, it consists of a quad rear camera setup that includes 13 MP primary sensors with an aperture of f/1.8, 2 MP depth sensor, 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and 2 MP Macro sensor along with the LED flash. On the front, the device comes with the 8MP selfie snapper.


Under the hood, Nokia 5.3 is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. It is coupled with the 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage that can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.

The smartphone is run on Android 10 out-of-the-box and the brand also promises regular Android updates for at least three years. 


Nokia 5.3 comes backed up by the massive 4,000mAh battery i.e. largest of the Nokia 5 series. As per the company claims the battery will last for 2 days. It also has a 10W(5V/2A) charging.

Nokia 5.3 will go on sale in April as announced by the brand along with the price of 189 Euros. The smartphone will be available in three color variants Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal.
