Nokia 2.3 is Launched in Nepal | Another Entry-Level device in Crowdy Segment

Nokia used to be the number one smartphone brand in the world and sells a single model in millions of numbers. But the market is shifted to Android and Nokia falls back. After Nokia is acquired by HMD Global, they started to produce Nokia phones running on Android. With this move, they are grabbing some customers towards them. Nokia 2 is an entry-level device launched a few years ago and now, HMD Global announce Nokia 2.3. This phone, Nokia 2.3 was launched in Egypt Event at the price of 109 euros. (~Rs.14K Nepali Price). But now, Nokia 2.3 is available in Nepal at the price of Rs.11,999.

Nokia 2.3 Overview

To survive in the market, Nokia 2.3 has to beat the likes of Redmi 8A, Realme C2, Galaxy A10 or many other mid-range devices. Interestingly, this new Nokia 2.3 and Redmi 8A is available in Nepal at the same price as Rs.11,999. So which device will you choose? Display/Design

Nokia 2.3 has 3D nano-textured cover on the back so you can hold your device with ease. To provide more rigidity to the device, Nokia 2.3 has diecast metal chassis with polymer shell. Nokia 2.3 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD display with a water-drop notch on the top and has a 19:9 aspect ratio. There is no fingerprint sensor that means face unlock is the only biometric security on this device. 

Performance

Nokia 2.3 is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and coupled with 2GB of RAM. For the storage, the device has an internal 32GB of storage and can be expanded up to 512GB via MicroSD. 

This device is running on Android 9 Pie and according to the company’s claims, the device is ready for Android 10. I hope to see Android 10 soon in this device. 

Camera

Mentioning camera specs in a nutshell, Nokia 2.3 has a dual camera in the rear side and a single lens on the front. On the rear side, it has 13MP primary lens with f/2.2 aperture which is supported by a 2MP depth sensor for better portraits. This camera promises 6 different styles of bokeh effects. On the front, we have a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 aperture. This lens also serves for face unlock to the device. 

Battery and others

As the trend in Nokia devices, Nokia 2.3 also comes with a bigger battery, a 4000mAh battery. It comes with a 5W charging cable. We have a 3.5mm headphone jack still in the device and all the required connectivity options as Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
