LG G9 Releasing as a Mid-Ranger not as a Flagship Smartphone?
We have not seen any devices from LG in the last couple of months, but at that time LG was working on their new smartphone LG G9. The rumors regarding LG G9 have been leaked in the market and it seems like LG G9 will be similar to its predecessor, LG G8X. The LG G9 is expected to be released in February 2020 but the COVID-19 outbreak shifted its release for early April. So, let's find out what LG G9 will feature.
Overview of LG G9
The leaks rendered by OnLeaks highlighted that LG G9 will have a quad rear camera setup at back. The source also rumored that LG G9 will feature a 6.7 to 6.9-inch OLED panel. There will be a single selfie camera embedded in a U shaped notch. Additionally, it is incorporating Snapdragon 765 5G chipset instead of Snapdragon 865 Chipset and it will target be placed as a mid-rangers rather than a flagship smartphone of LG which will be released in 2020.
Display and Design
LG will follow the design language of LG G8X, so LG G9 will probably resemble like LG G8X. At the front, an FHD+ OLED panel will have U shaped notch to place a selfie camera. Similarly, at back there will be horizontal camera housing that couple four camera lenses. The display panel will be flat (not curved) 6.7 to 6.9’’ adapting 20:9 aspect ratio. The display quality will be great as the OLED panel can deliver a good viewing angle and color saturation.
Chipset and Performance
LG G9 will feature the latest and greatest mid-range 5G chipset of Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 Chipset coupled with Adreno 620 GPU. The CPU and GPU have been improved from the last generation and now can deliver 25% more power with 20% more efficiency. So as LG G9 will be released with SD 765 Chipset the device will perform flawlessly without creating any lagging issues even while playing high-end games but the performance will not be excellent. Additionally, LG G9 will support 5G connectivity. The RAM and Storage Option has not yet been determined, but LG G9 will likely come in 8/128GB, 8/256GB and 12/256GB variant.

Camera and Other Features
The leaks about LG G9 state that it will have a quad rear camera setup. The camera housing is horizontal and is similar to LG V50 and LG G8. Similarly, a single selfie camera will be embedded in a teardrop notch. Additionally, LG G9 will use an under-display fingerprint sensor rather than a physical button at back in this model. There will also be a 3.5mm headphone jack and its good news for all that LG is not letting go of this feature in their flagship phone.
LG has not been able to release large numbers of devices lately and could not cover a lot of market share. But it seems like LG has been working hard to release its new best mid-range smartphone called LG G9. Definitely, a lot of customers will be attracted to this model but will it survive the competition with the upcoming Axon 11 5G, Honor 30s and launched Redmi K30 5G, Realme X50 5G Reno 3 Pro 5Getc. The price and exact release date have not yet confirmed. But the leaked information suggests that LG G9 will likely be priced at KRW 900,000 ($705/€661). Which means the LG G9 price in Nepal will be about Rs. 84,999.
