Its the month of September and we have new iPhones for one year as Apple launches their new devices just once in a year. If we recall the event of last year, Apple had announced 3 models of iPhone and just like that, we have 3 models this year too. Among the 3 models of last year, iPhone XR is the most popular iPhone among three and it’s the Best Selling smartphone in the first half of 2019. During the event held in Steve Jobs Theater, Apple announced 3 Main Devices. So, among the 3 models, iPhone 11 is the actual updated version of the iPhone XR and junior member of this year’s iPhone line up. The price of the iPhone 11 is $699 in the international market for the base variant. The price of the iPhone 11 in Nepal starts at Rs.1,15,000 for 64GB Variant. iPhone 11 Overview

The main changes in iPhone 11 over iPhone XR are the inclusion of an extra camera in back, A13 Bionic Chipset and new colors variant.

Display/Design

A bit disappointment but this year’s iPhone has the same design which Apple has been using since iPhone X. iPhone 11 has the same 6.1” Liquid Retina LCD Display as in its predecessor iPhone XR. But the company claims that this iPhone 11 has a brighter display than the last year’s iPhones. We are getting Haptic Touch on this display. If we go for the design, there is nothing different from the last year.

On the rear side, we are getting a dual camera set up inside a square box on the left top corner. The Apple logo has been dropped a little bit and is now at the exact center of the rear side.

Performance

Apple’s chipset has always been the powerful processor used in smartphones and they are making them even monstrous. The new A13 Bionic chipset is the most chipset ever used in a smartphone. iPhone 11 is coming with the same chipset replacing the A12 from iPhone XR. This A13 chipset is capable of unparallel speed and advances Machine Learning. Built on 7nm Technology, this chipset is 20% faster performance on CPU and GPU, the better image and video recording and faster Face Unlock.

iPhone 11 comes in 3 memory variant: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. This phone has water and dust resistant to IP68 means it can survive up to 30minutes in 2meters of depth in water.

Camera

Camera performance in an iPhone has always been praiseworthy and they are coming even more power pack. With this year's iPhone, we are getting at least a dual-camera set up in all the models. This iPhone 11 comes with dual cameras: a 12MP wide-angle camera and 12MP ultra-wide camera with 120-degree FOV. This includes 2x Optical Zoom, 5x Digital Zoom and OIS(Optical Image Stabilization). iPhone 11 shoots 4K video at 60fps across all its cameras. The ultra-wide camera captures four times more scenes which will be very helpful while shooting landscape pictures. This camera setup has Brilliant Night Mode features making one of the best in any smartphones.

The front-facing camera also comes with improvement over the previous versions. The 12MP Selfie Shooter fits inside the notch with improvement in Face Unlock, making it even faster. This selfie camera also shoots 4K video at 60fps and most importantly, this camera shoots slo-mo videos that Apple named Slofie. Also, this camera turns automatically into a wider angle while you try to shoot landscape images.

Others

We are mentioning many other specs that Apple didn't announce during the event. iPhone 11 comes in dual SIM variant but they have the combination of Nano-SIM + eSIM. Apple didn't mention the size of battery but they have 1hour more battery life than iPhone XR. 18W fast charger has been included in the box with iPhone 11. For better multimedia, iPhone 11 has spatial audio and Dolby Atmos support. With the purchase of the iPhone 11, buyers will get one year of free Apple TV+ subscription.

Price and Availability

iPhone 11 is priced at $699 in the US and available from 20th September. This iPhone is priced at INR.64,990 for the base variant in India and was available from the 27th of October. Finally, after two months of launch, the pre-order for iPhone 11 begins in Nepal at Oliz Store. The price has been set at Rs.1,15,000 in Nepal for iPhone 11 for base variant 64GB and increment of Rs.10K for every higher storage version.
