Huawei Y6p Launched: Budget Phone with Triple Camera and 5000mAh Battery
More and more mid-rangers are landing in the market and the segment is getting more aggressive than the flagship. Asian nations are the best markets for the mid-range phones and Huawei has come up with another mid-range battery focused smartphone. The new Y6p was launched in Roamina this week along with its sibling Y5p and MatePad T8. Let’s find out the price of Huawei Y6p in Nepal (expected) along with its specifications.
Huawei Y6p is a mid-range phone with average performance that is mostly targeted for the users who goes for a big battery. It comes with a decent battery, good display and a powerful battery backup and sadly without Google Mobile Services (GMS).
Display and Design
The Y6p comes with a 6.3-inch IPS panel with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. There is a tiny waterdrop notch for its 8MP selfie cam at the middle-top of the display. The phone falls under the budget category so it has a plastic body embedded in a plastic frame. There is a fingerprint scanner at the centre back along with the triple camera arranged in the vertical fashion.
There are altogether three cameras on the phone with moderate performance. Huawei has included all necessary type of lens on this budget offering which is quite generous from the company. We can find the 13MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. The second shutter is an ultrawide shooter and the third camera is a depth sensor of 2MP.
For the selfies and video calls which hs become an essential thing during this COVID-19 period, there is an 8-megapixel shooter residing comfortably on the notch. Both the back and front camera are capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps.
Performance and OS
Under the hood, the Y6p carries the MediaTek's Helio P22 chipset. Alongside the average performing P22, there is 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage, which is expandable with the MicroSD card. On the software front, the phone shines on EMUI 10.1 on top of Android 10 and sadly without Google Mobile Services (GMS) in the inclination towards the Huawei’s own HMS suite. For your information, there are almost 400 Million users of Huawei Mobile Services(HMS) and it is growing at a faster pace.
Battery and Connectivity
The battery is the segment in which the phone excels much better. The handset carries a beefy 5,000mAh battery but it charges over the dated micro USB port at a speed of 5W.
The phone supports Dual-SIM card along with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0.
