Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite Vs OnePlus 7T : Is There Even A Race?

Sanjeev Dulal 26 Jan, 2020

The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is making its way to Nepal very soon. Armed with an S-Pen and what seems to be a decent camera system, the phone is aimed at creators who don’t have the resources to splurge over one lakh on a phone.

With Note 10 Lite, Samsung is eventually climbing up to catch on premium mid-range flagship devices. The Korean company has been granting its market share in the premium segment to OnePlus and Xiaomi. With the new Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite, Samsung seems to be in a better spot to battle against these two brands. Here is how the Galaxy Note 10 Lite accumulates up against OnePlus 7T in terms of price, features, cameras, and availability.

Now, let’s get undeviatingly into the comparison!

The Note 10 Lite comes in a glastic (a combination of glass and plastic) body and the company says it looks premium and less fragile. The phone comes in three different colors - Aura Black, Aura Red, and Aura Glow. The cameras at the rear are placed in a rectangular module that looks much better than the circular module that sits behind the OnePlus 7T, at least in my opinion.

The OnePlus 7T, on the other hand, makes use of premium elements and comes with frosted glass on the back. The sides are made of aluminum, and the overall phone is likely to feel more premium than the Note 10 Lite. The 7T is available in Grey and Blue. Looking at the smaller size of OnePlus 7T, the handset is slightly lighter and hence handier than the Note 10 Lite. 7t full review/oneplus 7t review image 10.jpg

The OnePlus 7T is a great smartphone but the camera is not on the par with an iPhone and Google Pixel. The Galaxy Note 10 Lite, on the other side, might have an advantage with its camera setup. It has a triple rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel optically stabilized shooter of f/1.7 aperture and a 27mm focal length. It is matched with a 12-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, it sports a 32-megapixel shooter with 25mm focal length and f/2.2 aperture.

The OnePlus 7T also features a triple camera setup at the back but the primary camera is a 48-megapixel shooter. It is paired with a 12-megapixel telephoto camera and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies, you get a 16-megapixel camera with a 25mm focal length and f/2.0 aperture. We still need to compare the quality of photos in the real world but Samsung takes the edge while looking at the paper.

Performance is the major factor in these phones and OnePlus seems to be a lot better in this segment. The Note 10 Lite runs on the Samsung Exynos 9810 processor that was found on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9 series. This is almost a 2-year old chipset and we can’t expect it to compete with the OnePlus’s Snapdragon 855+. The Snapdragon 855+ is not only more powerful but is also more efficient. OnePlus 7T easily takes a lead in this segment.

Whatsoever, the Exynos 9810 isn’t that underperforming chipset. The 9810 is pretty decent in terms of performance and can be expected to play games like Call of Duty and PUBG at full settings easily. The only mystery that dwells here is how it performs in the more prolonged run.

Battery & Fast Charging

As far as the battery is concerned, Note 10 Lite has a 4,500mAh battery unit that should be great enough to last a day and you are also getting an 18W fast charging support. The OnePlus 7T, on the other hand, has a more petite 3,800mAh battery. But it’s safe for a day’s use. Also, the 7T is remarkably fast at charging, thanks to its 30W Warp Charger included in the box.

Both phones do not support wireless charging.
