Mark the Calender! The Apple's online-only WWDC20 Starts on June 22nd

WWDC is one of the biggest Developers Conference of Apple usually held in the 2nd quarter of the year. Back in March, Apple had announced that this year’s WWDC will take place completely online. Today, Apple has a press release where this year’s WWDC will be happening from June 22 which completely online and free. This would be the first time from Apple to held an online WWDC event.

According to Apple executive Phil Schiller, WWDC 2020 would be a “ completely new online experience taking place in June. WWDC was changed to an online event because of the current health situation”.  Schiller further added,” WWDC20 will be our biggest yet, bringing together our global developer community of more than 23 million in an unprecedented way for a week in June to learn about the future of Apple platforms.

The much-awaited product of this WWDC 2020 will be iOS 14, watchOS7, new CatelinaOS, and other iterations of operating systems. According to the rumors, iOS 14 will bring a new fitness app, a “PencilKit” API, new iMessage features, and improved mouse cursor support. The watchOS is expected to bring sleep tracking and a new country flag watchface.

Apple also announced the “Swift Student Challenge” where students can create and showcase their love for coding by creating their own swift playgrounds. According to Craig Federighi, Apple’s SVP of Software Engineering said “As we look forward to WWDC20, although our gathering will be virtual this year, we want to recognize and celebrate the creative contributions of our young developers from around the world. We can’t wait to see this next generation of innovative thinkers turn their ideas into a reality through the Swift Student Challenge.” The winner will be awarded an exclusive WWDC20 jacket and pin set.
